1. The Bible
God has revealed himself in the Bible. Both Old and New testaments are the word of God. The Bible is completely trustworthy, true and sufficient for belief and behaviour.
There is one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three persons yet one God. God is not subject to change. He is almighty and, as King, rules over all things.
Human beings were created in the image of God. Through disobedience, men and women are at enmity with God and are spiritually dead. We are under just condemnation and need to be born anew in order to live in harmony with the will of God.
4. The Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin and lived a perfect life. He died for all people; his sacrifice paying in full for the sin of the whole world. He rose bodily from the dead to heaven where he is exalted as Lord of lords. As our great high priest, he intercedes for us.
Salvation is a gift of God. It is based on the undeserved love of God and is received by faith. All who trust Christ alone are given the gift of eternal life.
6. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit has been sent to glorify Jesus Christ. He indwells believers, convicts of sin and produces Christ-like character. He empowers believers to witness for Christ.
7. The Church
The universal Church is the body of which Christ is the head. The Church is made up of all those who have been born again. The Church possesses a God-given unity. Alongside the universal Church there is the local church where believers are committed to Christ and each other. Here believers worship God and seek to serve him.
Satan is a fallen angel and is the enemy of God. Satan and his armies of demons seek to thwart and spoil the purposes of God.
9. The Future
The Lord Jesus will return in power and glory. He will judge all people with perfect righteousness. Believers will enjoy eternal bliss, unbelievers will be eternally punished.
